A fine and gentle man, big heart and great spirit. Upstanding and imposing at the same time as being open, humble and kind. Gbegi was a superlative example of the proper demeanour of a prince, an outstanding example of human kind and a model for his generation. His family must draw small consolation from the value of such a life. God knows best. Rest in peace, Adegoyega Ojora. The angels welcome you home.

You were such a perfect gentleman, very charming and witty.  Your passing has come as a  rude shock. May your kind soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.
Lai ORIOWO Rest In Peace, Gbegi April 13, 2011
Gbegi I knew from a distance, but unbelievably had a certain closeness to him via his very close associates that are quite dear to me. Gbegi's name and aura reaches far beyond his own imagination, my very short stint of a relationship with him was a very impressionable one. Very quintessential & sartorial with a lot of princely gaits, he carried very well.
Rest in PEACE Gbegi Ojora, the world will miss you.

Oh Gbegi what a great big shock!

You were one of the kiindest souls ever. Always so jolly, amiable and caring. I called you my big brother and even though I didn't see you that much since moving back, it was always refreshing to bump into you now and again. I pray that you are at peace, resting in the bosom of your loving heavenly father. You deserve the best ever.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. May the Lord console and comfort them at this time and may His peace guard their hearts and direct them.
Caroline Olaseinde Miss April 12, 2011
Mr Gbegi, you took me as your sister and you were a brother to me, when I relocated to Nigeria, your home was always open to me. When ever I bumped into you on St John's Wood, you always had a moment for a chat. We were on the same flight some time and we had a lot to chat about. We saw not long ago on Christmas day and there we found things to talk about. You always made me feel special. Our birthdays are days apart and I will never fail to remember your birthday. The last time we met on Christmas day...you said 'call me'...don't wait to see me on the high street but then...God knows best!! All the company of heaven shall surely welcome you into heaven...may your gentle soul rest in peace...adieu..sun re o...

Toyin Olakanpo & Family Uncle Gbegi, It is well with your soul April 12, 2011
Uncle Gbegi, your death has left us in shock and deep sadness. You were always the big brother to me and someone that we always thought will be around forever. Always so full of wisdom. I remember dinner at Scalini, way back in the early 90s when you entertained us with your charm and wit. Always the perfect gentleman and the perfect host. When we moved back to Lagos I will always bump into you at Goodies Supermarket, and you will be there doing your little grocery shopping. May your soul rest in perfect peace. We will continue to pray for Dapo, Yinka, Toyin, your dear wife Solveigh and your son,.. your mum, your dad,. your entire family who are going through a very difficult time right now.
